i think the difference is… utd debt is 750m ish. They made a loss last year after doing the double. The debt is secured against the actual club and not the owner so they could go bankrupt. Unless somebody buys the club for 1p and settles the debts.
Liverpools debt is 350m ish and is secured against the owners, if they r unable to pay it they will have to sell their own assets such as LFC which means we could be in sheikh ownership. We should thank parry for not letting them secure the loan against the club.

What i don’t understand is why United are so confident that if Glazer does go, that someone will just come walzing in and take them over.
No businessman or company will be willing to eradicate £1.1 Billion of debt owing. They’ll have made a huge loss that will take a few years to break even.
Liverpool’s debt is bad, but manageable. United’s compound interest attached to the deal is far worse. How United allowed the man to take them over i’ll never know, and that’s why i stand behind Nick and the other United fans who follow FC United of Manchester.
Here’s one for Nick (he already knows it probably)
His name is Malcolm Glazer
He thinks he’s rather flash
He tried to buy a football club but didn’t have the cash
He borrowed lots of money
and made the Reds distraught
But we’re FC United and we won’t be bleeping bought!

I know yeah, they are in worse debt than us. I don’t understand how they can buy players like Berbatov for £30 million when they are in debt, I have heard that they want to extend their stadium again up to 95′000, they don’t seem to realise that they have no money!

not once have i hear a united fan say something about debt. Your just trying to distract the fact that this week will be confirmed as another premiershipless season for Liverpool. God even Blackburn have won the premier league.

i didn’t realise that we did. we tend to mention murderers and the lack of jobs more than debt. you need to listen to our class songs more closely.
